Application Procedures for International Students

STEP ONE

Please submit the following to TOC Admissions Centre (International):

  • Completed Application Form
  • Eight (8) copies of passport-sized photographs (coloured on white background; 1½ inches x 2 inches; name & passport number written at the back). Non-returnable.
  • Three (3) photocopies of Applicant’s Passport. (All pages on A4 size paper)
  • Results High School - Transcripts of O-Levels, A-Levels, highest qualifications or equivalent.
  • Photocopies of any other important documents or certificates.
  • Photocopy of School Leaving Certificate
  • 1 copy of completed Health Examination Medical Report (valid within 3 months before registration), attached with all the original laboratory results and chest X-ray film and report.

*NOTE:

  1. All documents mentioned above MUST be certified by relevant authorities.
  2. If the documents are in other languages, they MUST be translated to English and certified true copy by the relevant authorities.
  3. All the above documents must be mailed or couriered to:

STEP TWO

  1. Students are required to TELEGRAPHIC TRANSFER the Application Fee of USD165 PLUS USD35 for bank charges. Any balance left after bank charges are applied will be credited into the student's tuition fee account.
  2. Please fax or scan and email ONE (1) copy of Telegraphic Transfer (TT) Application Fee Receipt (name written at the front) and email to international@otomotif.edu.my

STEP THREE

  1. Upon receipt of ALL the documents and payment of the Application Fee, TOC will then assess the applicant’s qualifications for entry.
  2. If the student meets the entry requirements, TOC will then scan and email a copy of the Letter of Conditional Offer to the student.
  3. The TOC Admissions Centre (International) will then submit them to the Malaysian Immigration Department for Visa Approval.
  4. Visa Application will usually take 6 - 8 weeks to be approved. Upon approval of VAL (Visa Approval Letter) from Malaysia Immigration Department, TOC will scan and email a copy to the applicant.
  5. The Applicant must then Telegraphic Transfer the FIRST Semester’s Fees PLUS USD35 for bank charges to TOC. Any balance left after bank charges are applied will be credited into the student's tuition fee account.
  6. Please fax or scan and email ONE (1) copy of Telegraphic Transfer (TT) Application Fee Receipt (name written at the front) to TOC at +603 – 7960 4355 or international@otomotif.edu.my
  7. Upon receipt of payment of the First Semester’s fees TOC will then mail the Offer Pack comprising of the following:
    • Original Copy of the Letter Of Conditional Offer (LOCO).
    • Visa Approval Letter (VAL)
    • Enrolment Guide, including information on Orientation Guidelines and Fee Payment Schedule.



ARRIVAL TO MALAYSIA

STEP ONE

  1. The student MUST inform TOC Admissions Centre (International) by fax +603 – 7960 4355 or
    international@otomotif.edu.my
    at least 7 days before departure the following information:
    • Date & Time of Departure from home country.
    • Date & Time of Arrival at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) / Low Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT).
    • Flight Name & Number.

NOTE
TOC will not be held responsible for any consequences if the above instructions are not complied with. Priority for airport pickup is for registered students. Parents, guardians or friends accompanying the applicant need to arrange for their own transportation.

STEP TWO
  1. Before the student leaves for the airport, he / she must make sure to bring along the following important documents:
    • Passport (must be valid for at least 12 months before expiry).
    • Original Copy of Visa Approval Letter or Valid Entry Visa.

STEP THREE (In the Plane)

  1. The student MUST fill in the Disembarkation Card provided by the airline crew. It is very IMPORTANT that the student keep the card stub.

STEP FOUR (At KLIA)

  1. On leaving the airplane, the student is required to board a "sky-train" which will take the passenger from Terminal C to the Baggage Reclaim & Immigration Terminal.
  2. The student must take the sky-train within 20 minutes on disembarking the plane.
  3. A TOC representative will wait for the student arriving at KLIA, at the Immigration Office. Those arriving at LCCT, Sepang, Kuala Lumpur are requested to wait at the Immigration Counter.
  4. The TOC representative will hold a placard (piece of paper) printed with the student’s name and flight details. The student will be taken to the Immigration Counter for clearance. The student needs to be ready with the following documents:
    • Passport.
    • Original Copy of Visa Approval Letter or Valid Entry Visa.

NOTE
The Immigration Officer WILL NOT release students without the presence of a TOC representative to identify and acknowledge the student.

COMPULSORY ORIENTATION

Students MUST attend a 1-day Orientation organised by the college, normally held on the Saturday prior to the Start-Of-Class (SOC) date. Students CANNOT MISS the orientation. This Orientation is designed to allow students to be familiarise with the following:

  • Overview of the programme, awards, requirement and assessment criteria
  • Overview of college Rules and Regulations
  • Overview of academic calendar and time table
  • Overview and Presentation on:
    • City & Guilds (UK) assessment and qualifications
  • English Placement Test
  • Issuance of Uniforms and Tools set
  • Insurance Briefing

Attendance is compulsory for Orientation. Students who do not meet this requirement will not be allowed to commence their studies on Start-Of-Class date. Students are reminded to dress appropriately by adhering to the “Smart Casual” dress code. No slippers, sandals, singlet, shorts or baggy/torn jeans will be allowed. 

Students are required to be in uniform on Start-Of-Class day (i.e. TOC Formal White Shirt, TOC Black pants and Black Safety Shoes).

Limited Seats
As seats are limited, interested students, especially international students, are encouraged to apply as early as possible. Application Datelines for each intake is 10 weeks prior to be Orientation Dates stated above. Please submit your application on time to avoid disappointment. Students who have made their initial payment will be guaranteed a seat in the intake and session of their choice.
